1. Overview

This Cancellation and Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancelling workshop bookings and obtaining refunds at Artisanstcrafter. This policy is in compliance with UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. Cancellation by Customer

2.1 Cancellation Notice Period

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled workshop start time.

2.2 Refund Policy

  • More than 48 hours notice: Full refund will be provided
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% refund will be provided
  • Less than 24 hours notice or no-show: No refund will be provided

2.3 How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, please contact us by:

3. Cancellation by Artisanstcrafter

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop due to:

  • Insufficient bookings
  • Illness of the instructor
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control

We will notify you as soon as possible and offer you:

  • A full refund, or
  • Transfer to another available workshop date

4. Transfer of Bookings

You may request to transfer your booking to another workshop date, subject to availability. Transfer requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original workshop date. We reserve the right to charge an administrative fee of £5 for transfers requested less than 48 hours before the workshop.

5. Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original booking:

  • Credit/debit card refunds: 5-10 business days
  • Bank transfer refunds: 3-5 business days

Please note that processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

6. Distance Selling Regulations

If you book a workshop online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of making the booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, provided the workshop start date is at least 14 days after the date of booking. If the workshop is scheduled to start within 14 days of booking, you forfeit this right unless you cancel within the standard cancellation period.

7. Special Circumstances

We understand that special circumstances may arise. In cases of:

  • Bereavement
  • Serious illness or injury
  • Emergency situations

We may, at our discretion, offer a full refund or transfer even if cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

8. Private Group Bookings

For private group bookings (6 or more participants), different cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellation more than 7 days before the event: Full refund
  • Cancellation 3-7 days before the event: 50% refund
  • Cancellation less than 3 days before the event: No refund

9. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable except where required by law. Gift vouchers may be transferred to another person with our prior consent.

10. Late Arrival

If you arrive more than 30 minutes late for a workshop, we reserve the right to refuse entry without a refund, as late arrival disrupts the session for other participants.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellation or changes due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or severe weather. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates or credit notes where possible.

12. Disputes and Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our cancellation or refund decision, please contact us to discuss your concerns. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and in accordance with UK consumer protection legislation.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to refer the matter to:

  • Your local Trading Standards office
  • The Citizens Advice consumer service
  • Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes

13. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Cancellation and Return Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. The policy that applies to your booking is the one in effect at the time of your booking.
